Growing up Socially Savvy Lesson Plans
In this
3 class extensive course the student will learn principles of etiquette and how to treat others and herself with respect. She/he will also become more self-assured with poise and grace. The focus of this course is:
- Developing a positive self image.
- Creating a basic knowledge of how we affect the space around us.
- Developing basic courtesy, respect for others and him/herself
- Becoming a considerate and compassionate person
- Learning proper introductions and greetings
- Developing written and conversational skills, and e-manners
- Becoming aware of body language: proper posture, cleanliness, etc.
- Becoming aware and using the basic rules of table manners
- Developing proper body language and conversation for the table
- Learning napkin rules, utensil placement and use
- Becoming self-confident in their table manner’s skills
