Classes and Workshops

Components of any of these classes can be combined to create a personal, privately taught custom workshop.

Business Meals

Business meals are a vital part of the business world. Many feel as if it is just a meal; however, it has nothing to do with food. Potential employers and clients are scrutinizing your every move because they need to know if they can trust you with their clients or their business.  This class includes basic table manners, proper conversation, and more.

Business Meeting Etiquette

Never schedule a business meeting unless it is absolutely necessary.  This is the basic rule but so many don't follow it.  This workshop teaches the basic rules, responsibilities of the facilitator and participants, significance of seating patterns, and what the speaker needs to do to be prepared for the meeting.

'Special Considerations' is an interesting component, which includes electronic meetings, meeting with clients, brainstorming sessions, and cell phone etiquette.  Formally, this was simply a component of other workshops, but has been expanded into an extensive workshop.

Career Fair Etiquette

Helps prepare students for that all important career fair.  Many students arrive in shorts and flip-flops for their college's career fairs not knowing that this is actually a pre-screening session for companies.  Students are just not prepared.

Focus:
  • What to wear
  • Appearance and body language
  • How to prepare
  • What action to take at the fair

Etiquette and Culture of the American People

We explore basic manners, including a primer on table manners, business settings, communication skills, and etiquette as it relates to American culture.  This is a lively and interactive class
