This lesson plan is written in scripted form and lists supplies and handouts required. An additional lesson plan, the 'Power Point Lesson Plan', is designed to assist you with your Power Point presentation.  This lesson plan indicates each slide and place that you need to move down the slide.

Each component may be altered to suit the client or teacher.

Purpose and Objectives:

In this 2-1/2 hour session, the students will learn the principles of the “Spirit of the Game” manners and etiquette the USGA recommends besides etiquette suggestions from many other sources.  The focus of this class is:

  • Learning why the pace of play is important.
  • Learning the proper use of golf carts and the etiquette involved.
  • Becoming aware of our role as golfers in course condition.
  • Learning about honesty and integrity on the course.
